May 6th, 2009 | Sony GPS-CS1 now mac compatible.

gps

finally compatible after two years! tested and verified on a macpro 3.2 and a unibody macbook pro 2.8.

1. connect the Sony GPS-CS1 GPS Device through usb. the device will mount as an external drive labelled NO NAME.

2. open the GPS folder on the drive and download WGXXXXXXXXXXXXXX.log files.

3. import photos and .log files into HoudahGeo or load through sony’s included gps software in bootcamp.

4. write to exif info.

5. tagged info will show up in both iphoto and flickr. a link to my flickr map below.

gps2

and while i’ve already purchased the 2nd generation, it’s nice that the cs1 module has a bar to clip onto without the need for an external case.
